Frequently Asked Questions

Q:  What equipment are football players required to purchase?
A:  Helmet and shoulder pads will be provided. You will be required to purchase football pants w/pads, cleats, socks, mouth guard, and athletic supporter

Q:  When are the player evaluations?
A:  Evaluations begin Monday, July 15th, at Behm Fields.

Q:  "Where are" and "when" are practices?
A:  Locations and schedules will be determined by your coach

Q:  When is the opening weekend?
A:  Tentatively August 31 - September 1

Q:  What is the age range for tackle football?
A:  5 - 14 years old (as of September 1)

Q:  Do I need to volunteer?
A:  Yes, all parents are required to volunteer at least four hours per child, to a maximum of eight hours per family (minimum of two hours too be completed at concessions). Failure to complete required volunteer hours will result in a $400 penalty to be charged via credit card at the completion of the season. Registration for the following season will be prohibited until all previous fees/penalties are paid in full.

Q: Is there a multi child football discount?
A: Yes. Bantam level is NOT discounted

The Competition is open to all Tackle, Flag and Cheerleading Participants in every TCYFL Member Community in good standing.
