Summer Flag Football 2020

Dear Stallions:

On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Lake County Stallions and the entire Stallions organization, we hope that this email finds you and your family doing well. We are working diligently to prepare for upcoming seasons for each of our sports with safety in mind while we learn to live with COVID-19. As we move through the phases of Restore Illinois, we will continue to monitor guidelines from Federal, State and Local Public Health Authorities, the CDC, Illinois Department of Public Health, and Lake County Health Department.  In addition to monitoring public health authorities for new guidelines, we also continue to stay in communication with each sports league for any decisions they make for the upcoming seasons.

We expect to learn even more about each of our sports in the next few weeks. Concerning Cheer, the IRCA was scheduled to meet on May 31st. We are hopeful that we will have more information about the Cheer season to announce soon. As it pertains to Tackle Football, the TCYFL has set July 1 as a self-imposed deadline to decide IF there will be a Fall Tackle Football season and if so, what guidelines will be imposed. TCYFL is closely monitoring the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) which is set to meet in mid-June. We anticipate a decision being made about Fall High School Sports.  Whatever decision the IHSA makes regarding Fall Sports will have a big impact on the TCYFL decision. In the next few weeks, we should also have a clearer picture as it relates to our Summer In-House Flag Football program.  Unfortunately, given the current restrictions of Phase III, we will not be able to host a Summer Lacrosse program.

There is a lot of uncertainty for all Summer and Fall Sports.  To best prepare for any potential guidelines and restrictions that could be imposed on our Summer and Fall sports programs, we have drafted a survey to gauge your comfort level. Please click to complete this short Stallions Sports 2020-21 Survey. The information gathered will help guide the Board as we make decisions regarding our upcoming sports seasons. Please reply with your response ASAP.

On behalf of the Board, thank you for your continued patience during this difficult time.  Once decisions are made, we will notify you via email and share it on our social sites and website, LCStalltions.com.  If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to any member of our Board.

Thank you.
